Happy Hump Day! I hope everyone's had a great writing week so far!
If you didn't catch it yesterday, here's a post I did on the history of vampires in pop-culture over at Spellbound Scribes. If you love vampires, you might want to weigh in.
Also, for those who haven't had a chance to pick up PARALLEL (no pressure, really!), I have the first few chapters up on Wattpad. I will probably post the first 15 chapters for those who want to sample it before purchasing. For obvious reasons, I won't be posting up any sample chapters for PARADOX, as it will spoil the ending for those sampling book 1.
On the writing front, I got in another 1k words for PARADIGM yesterday. I wanted to get a more in, but then I got sidetracked with working on formatting/editing a collection of short stories. It appears that I have the rights back to some of my horror shorts that appeared in several anthologies and now that they're mine again, I'll be compiling them into a collection. It will be a southern theme (as most of the stories take place in the South) and it's just a fun project to work on. I'm already looking at cover art!
All that aside, I hope to get some more writing done in the next few days, but the hubby and I decided to do a Marvel Comic movie marathon today/tomorrow to get ready for The Avengers that premieres this Friday! I am so psyched to see it as it's written and directed by Joss Whedon!
That's it for today, amigos. I'm giving my last final of the semester this afternoon (if any of my students are reading this, I hope you studied and good luck)!
That's awesome about your horror shorts! Sounds like it will be a fun collection. You are the 2nd person that's mentioned doing a marathon in preparation for The Avengers - I may just have to do this!! Especially for Joss Whedon. Have a great week, Claudia!
ReplyDeleteI don't know why I waited so long to check my contracts! I figure it will be a fun project work on :)
DeleteYou know, I love comic book heroes, but I never really go out of my way to see the films. I always find something lacking...but if Whedon is involved, you can bet I'll be watching! I've already seen Captain America (which was good), next up Iron Man, The Hulk, and Thor!
Ooh, horror short stories. I can't wait! :) Your books are all on my TBR list. I wish the list wasn't so long...but then again, I guess that can also be a good thing. I'll never run out of things to read.
ReplyDeleteI'm so psyched about The Avengers. I've seen the rest of the movies, so this one will be the ultimate! And to see Iron Man and Thor again? Yum! And Joss Whedon? Bonus!
Incidentally, Captain America was my least favorite of the movies, so if you've seen that one already, you may be in for a treat with the other ones.
You goat love video on demand! It's The Incredible Hulk (right now), Thor (tonight) and Iron Man 1 & 2 tomorrow! :)
DeleteLove horror stories so YAY!!!! And Joss Whedon is...amazing. I am such a fan it's ridiculous and cannot wait to see The Avengers. It will have to wait until after my finals (the ones I'm taking and giving!) which will be next week, but it is definitely something I am looking forward to! Have a great week :)
ReplyDeleteI just gave my last final today, so I'm totally treating myself to the movies on Friday (I won't ruin it for you)! And I feel the same way...I am such a Whedon fan! Super psyched!
DeleteHopefully you get a nice long summer break? Get some more writing done. :)
ReplyDeleteWell, I was going to shoot for a long summer break, but I got myself a part-time gig working w/ teens 3 days a week. Good for me to get out of the house! It's a 2 min commute, so at least I won't be stuck in traffic! So four days of writing time and in the evenings after work :)
DeleteI seriously LOVE Joss Whedon! Have you seen Dr. Horrible before? Best web series ever lol. YAY for writing more of Paradigm!!! I completely forgot about the third book! Been sucked into reading and writing so much lately myself lol. Well personally I got stuck writing another novel, to break the writer's block for my bigger project. lol
ReplyDeleteOh and the South is where it's at! Why else are all the Yankees moving to DFW? I have to ask...
