I have a lot to be thankful for this Thanksgiving: my family, husband, good health, the goofy pugs curled up next to me on the couch, and all of the wonderful things to come.
During this recession, I am not only fortunate enough to have a full-time job, but a part-time one that I enjoy, and of course, my after-hours gig as a writer...a job I love. Yeah, I gotta appreciate that. My checking account may say otherwise, but that just means the bills and mortgage are being paid.
This is also a time when my thoughts go out to those who aren't as fortunate as others and to those oversees, who serve this great country, that can't make it home to see their family and loved ones during the holidays...
I'm skipping my ROW80 update today, but will make up for it on Sunday.
Have a Happy Thanksgiving!!
having an entire day dedicated to gratitude ain't enough, in my big-headed opinion. I think we need to do turkey day 2x/yr, with all the trimmings....(my weight will reflect this point of view by friday morning....) I hope you have a marvelous thanksgiving with your hubby, puppies, friends, and fam. Take care, you are one of the people I am truly grateful for.
ReplyDeleteWe'll possibly be driving through freezing rain on the way home, please promise to think cheerful thoughts for us!

Shari - you're right! Everyday is a blessing!! Have a great Thanksgiving and I will think of you tomorrow when you're driving home! We haven't gotten to freezing rain yet here...just rain and fog!

I'm skipping too, but I hope to have big news by Sunday!
ReplyDeleteI'm thankful for MANY things and one of them is all the author friends I've made in the past year. :)
Kate - I love big news! Can't wait to read all about it :)
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, I am so fortunate to have made some wonderful writer friends this last year. I don't know what I'd do without ya'll!!
